Van Morrison Gets Wired
Van Morrison will make history Nov. 7 by performing the first live concert webcast from the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
Santa Monica-based public radio station KCRW will broadcast a 45-minute set featuring hits from Morrison’s five-decade career, marking the first time the singer has allowed a live transmission of one of his shows.
The second half of the concert will see the mercurial artist performing his seminal 1968 album, Astral Weeks, in its entirety. It will be recorded for the upcoming Astral Weeks Live at the Hollywood Bowl, marking the 40th anniversary of the Morrison classic. album.
Unlike most KCRW-produced content, the show will not be archived so listeners will have to tune in to KCRW.com at 8pm PST to catch it live.
