Prince Ordered To Pay Editor $58,000
A judge ordered the artist formerly known as a symbol to pay a video editor $58,000 for editing work and unreturned equipment.
The order came down from Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Gregory Alarcon on Wednesday, who presided over the brief trial last month.
Video editor Ian C. Lewis had originally asked for $1 million in exemplary damages. Lewis also claimed Prince owed him $25,000 for allegedly damaging a computer. However, the judge denied that request after Lewis failed to produce receipts for the machine.
Prince’s attorneys withdrew from the case and the Purple One was not represented during the trial.
