Push Play’s Holiday Happenings
MySpace phenom Push Play has added a stop to its Thanksgiving itinerary when the band hits midtown Manhattan Nov. 29 to hand out sweatshirts to the homeless.
Derek, CJ, Nick and Steve plan to hand out 1,000 sweatshirts as part of the band’s Push Play for Purpose effort, according to co-manager Sue Baran.
“They plan to walk the streets from dawn to dusk, giving back whatever money made thus far in merch sales and buying sweatshirts for the homeless with the proceeds, ” Baran said in a statement.
The New York- based quarter is currently on its first headlining tour of the U.S., which includes an appearance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade and a Nov. 28 concert at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts in Patchogue, N.Y., to celebrate the release of its holiday album, Dear Santa.
