The Right To Reunite
The band may have been together only five years in the early 1980s, but Keel is ready to reunite at Club Vodka at the Knitting Factory in Los Angeles Jan. 31.
Members Ron Keel, Marc Ferrari, Bryan Jay, Dwain Miller and Geno Arce are marking the band’s 25th anniversary, nearly 20 years after splitting, with not just a one-off reunion gig but plans for a number of showcases and select festival dates in 2009.
Keel made a splash in 1985 with The Right To Rock, which became the fastest-selling debut album in A&M Records’ history, moving more than 2 million discs, according to a statement from the band.
The metal outfit scored hits with “Tears Of Fire,” “Because The Night,” “Somebody’s Waiting,” and “Rock & Roll Outlaw.”
