The wife of Chris Baker, Barker’s assistant who died in the South Carolina crash, filed the suit in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging negligence and wrongful death. The lawsuit was also filed on behalf of Baker’s young son.

In the suit, Otilia Villar Baker claims the aviation companies contributed to the Sept. 19 crash. It seeks damages for pain and anguish Baker suffered before his death, loss of earnings, companionship, repayment of funeral and other costs.

The suit follows one filed by Barker, who sued the same companies, including Clay Lacy Aviation, Goodyear Tire and Rubber, Bombardier Inc., Global Exec Aviation and Inter Travel & Services, last month.

His lawsuit faulted the pilots, both of whom were killed in the crash, but did not name their estates as defendants. Barker’s bodyguard was also killed.
