Peter Sheils Passes

Veteran booking agent Peter Sheils, 61, died at his home in Northridge, CA Oct. 30. He had suffered a series of strokes and had been in failing health for more than a year.

Sheils spent the majority of his career as an agent with the William Morris Agency in Beverly Hills where he signed many acts including Tower Of Power, Kenny G, and George Benson.

Longtime friend David Leiken of Double Tee Concerts in Portland, Ore., is honoring Sheils by renaming his 400-capacity Roseland Grill to Peter’s Room.

“We both shared a love for great musicians, steaks and sports,” Leiken said, “although Peter definitely didn’t share my anti-Notre Dame cynicism. I’m deeply saddened by his passing.”
