AC/DC’s Stunning Show Opener
Anyone who’s seen the “Black Ice” tour can attest: AC/DC opens the show with pizzazz. There’s computer animation on a high-def screen, pyrotechnics and the light show.

According to singer Brian Johnson, all that sizzle came with a hefty price tag.
“The opening two minutes of the show are probably the most exciting opening to a rock ‘n’ roll show ever,” Johnson told the Herald Tribune of Sarasota, Fla. – his longtime home. “We got the guy who did much of the opening of the Beijing Summer Olympics. It cost us $6.3 million.”
Like most shows, the opening brings the crowd to their feet. Unlike many other concerts, AC/DC’s audience has been known to stay on its feet for the entire two-hour performance.
