Lil’ Wayne was sued for copyright infringement with a suit that claims the rapper didn’t have permission to sample the song “Once” by singer Karma-Ann Swanepoel in his song “I Feel Like Dying.”
The suit claims Cash Money Records, the rapper’s label, failed to negotiate a license to use Swanepoel’s song before millions of fans downloaded the tune in question.
The documents were requested by lawyers for the company that published Swanepoel’s song.
