$taging

Anyone who’s seen the Black Ice tour can attest: AC/DC opens the show with pizzazz.

There’s computer animation on a high-def screen, pyrotechnics and a splash of lights and fog. And according to singer Brian Johnson, it came with a hefty price tag.

“The opening two minutes of the show are probably the most exciting opening to a rock ’n’ roll show ever,” Johnson told the Herald Tribune of Sarasota, Fla. – his longtime home. “We got the guy who did much of the opening of the Beijing Summer Olympics. It cost us $6.3 million.”

Like most shows, the opening brings the crowd to its feet. Unlike many, though, the crowd has been known to stay on its feet for the entire two-hour performance.
