Grammy Fetes Industry Vets
The Four Tops and Gene Autry, among others, will be saluted for their lifelong artistic contributions to the recording medium during a special Grammy week ceremony Feb. 7.
Other artists getting the Lifetime Achievement nod from the Recording Academy include The Blind Boys of Alabama, Hank Jones, Brenda Lee, Dean Martin and Tom Paxton.

Trustees Awards, which honor those who’ve made outstanding contributions to the industry a non-performing capacity, will go to jazz producer George Avakian, composer Elliott Carter and Allen Toussaint.
Technical Grammy winners will include guitar guru Clarence “Leo” Fender and Universal Audio.
The special ceremony honorees will be acknowledged during the 51st Grammy Awards telecast Feb. 8.
