Seattle Rapper Killed In Club Shooting
Emerging Seattle rapper 29-E was shot and killed and two other artists were wounded early Jan. 4 in a concert shooting, according to local bloggers.
A dispute reportedly erupted at Seattle’s Chop Suey when someone opened the club’s side door and opened fire inside a hallway at about 12:30 a.m. In addition to 29-E who died of his wounds, show host 1st Black Prez reportedly underwent surgery and is in critical condition. Trama of the group Black Senate received less serious wounds.
Two suspects are believed to have been taken into custody for questioning.
According to SOHH.com, club promoters were urged to cancel the show because of the likelihood of gang violence.
