Actually, maybe you’re not saying a damned thing. But either way, the Bakerton Group and Clutch are the same band. Bakerton is the “psychedelic instrumental jazz-laden alter ego” of Clutch (you’ve got to love that PR talk), with all four members involved.

Clutch recently inked a multiyear deal with Red Distribution and El Rojo! is expected to drop Feb. 17. The multiple personalities take off on the road Feb. 11, along with Red Fang, starting off at the V Club in Huntington, W.Va. The tour visits the eastern side of the U.S., with the last date currently on the books Lancaster, Pa., March 1.

The meanies in Clutch have softened enough to allow Bakerton Group to play two headline shows – Detroit (Feb. 18) and Chicago (Feb. 21).

Actually, it’s a pretty cool idea. And just remember what their publicist says: “This is your chance to see both The Bakerton Group and Clutch music performed live together!”
