Thieves Own 9:30

After ringing in New Year’s Eve with a show at San Francisco’s Concourse Exhibition Center, Thievery Corporation is kicking off 2009 with five nights at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., followed by a string of February dates throughout North America.

The politically active Washington, D.C.,-based DJ duo will play in their hometown Jan. 27-31, the first-ever artist to play five consecutive shows at the 9:30 Club.

Next up are shows at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago (Feb. 20), Kool Haus in Toronto (Feb. 21), QC Metropolis in Montreal (Feb. 22) and House of Blues in Boston (Feb. 24).

There are also two shows at Terminal 5 in New York (Feb 25-26) and gigs at Rams Head Live! in Baltimore (Feb. 27) and Electric Factory in Philadelphia (Feb. 28).

The following month, the group will take the stage at the in Bicentennial Park in Miami (March 7).

While on tour Thievery Corporation will show off tunes from its recent release, Radio Retaliation.
