Rufus Unplugged
Singer/songwriter Rufus Wainwright is taking his effort to get fans to conserve energy to a new level by performing unplugged – completely.

For the second year in a row, Wainwright is spearheading an effort dubbed Blackoutsabbath that aims to get people to turn off all electricity and refrain from all energy expending activities for 12 hours June 21.
To raise awareness for the event, the singer will do a show March 4 at City Winery in New York City, dubbed “Rufus Wainwright Family and Friends,” that will be staged and performed completely without electricity.
Joining Wainwright on stage will be Teddy Thompson, Jenni Muldaur, Lucy Wainwright Roche, Sloan Wainwright and others to be announced.
Tickets for the show are available at CityWinery.com. Additional info on Wainwright’s conservation effort is available at Blackoutsabbath.org.
