Fastball Tells A Few Lies
Fastball, the American rock band that formed in Austin in the ’90s, is counting down the days before its fifth album, “Little White Lies,” hits stores April 14.
“We haven’t released a record since 2004, so I’m excited for our fans to hear the new stuff and the fact that we have a new president also gives me reason to smile,” vocalist/guitarist Miles Zuniga said in a statement.

The band will be sure to show off tunes from the release on a few upcoming dates Fastball has lined up.
Zuniga will be playing two solo shows at Vino Vino in Austin, Texas, Feb. 17 and Feb. 24, according to the band’s Web site, Fastballtheband.com.
Next up Fastball will play Penn State in State College, Pa. (Feb. 26), followed by a show at Pangaea in Austin (March 5) and an appearance at this year’s
Little White Lies was produced by Zuniga and C.J. Eiriksson, who’s worked with Blue October and Jack’s Mannequin, and mixed by Bob Clearmountain, who’s worked with The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and David Bowie.
“Miles and I have really fine-tuned our writing styles to come up with super fun songs that go a little deeper musically than we’ve gone before,” said Tony Scalzo, who handles bass, keyboard, guitar and vocals for the band. “I believe it’s only the tip of the iceberg too. It seems to have opened a door to future creativity.”
