But before they shut themselves off from the world for a bit, they’re going to hit the road for a nationwide theatre tour that kicks off Feb. 28 at Las Vegas’ Silverton Casino.

East L.A.’s favorite sons will be delighting fans with hits from their vast catalog in places like New York City, San Francisco, Dallas, Austin, Houston and everywhere in between.

The group also has a bunch of festival appearances on the books for 2009, including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, the Blues on The Fox Festival, the Newport Sunset Music Festival and Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival.

Since the band’s major-label debut with 1984’s How Will The Wolf Survive?, Los Lobos has notched a No. 1 single, won three Grammys and sold millions of records while touring almost constantly on their own and with acts as varied as Bob Dylan, The Clash and U2.
