The band will kick off a month-long, bi-coastal tour to shake off the cobwebs and give fans a peek at new material March 6 at Philadelphia’s Theatre of the Living Arts.

Joining the merry pranksters on East Coast stops are Oppenheimer and Longwave, with IO Echo and Jaguar Love stepping in on the West Coast.

Fans can expect to hear cuts from OK Go’s still-untitled new album, which the band is describing as the “danciest, most anthemic, most heartbroken and most honest songs” of its career.

The group spent the winter holed up in an upstate New York barn-turned-studio with producer Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, MGMT, Sleater-Kinney) working on the new project, due out in late summer, and chronicled the entire process with a typically offbeat series of videos that can be seen at OKGo.net.
