CAA’s Marketing Madhouse

According to Deadline Hollywood’s Nikki Finke, there was a “bloodbath” at the CAA marketing department. Not so, according to a CAA spokeswoman.

“I’m told that 4 agents and 5 assistants have been laid off in the CAA marketing group,” Finke wrote Feb. 24, attributing the exodus to the “devastated corporate environment which has particularly impacted marketing services.”

“Typical sensationalizing,” CAA spokeswoman Missy Davy told Pollstar. More importantly, it has nothing to do with the music marketing department, Davy added.

CAA’s music marketing department has been growing over the past 10 years and was featrued in a recent Pollstar article, where department head Allison McGregor noted the department was expanding.
