Inflamed Appendix Strikes Down Mumiy Troll
Fans of Russian band Mumiy Troll living in San Francisco and Los Angeles will have to find something else to do this week. A band member’s appendicitis attack has forced the group to postpone shows in the two West Coast cities.
The owner of the rogue appendix was lead singer Ilya Lagutenko, who fell ill during the early morning hours of March 1, after the band had performed at the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia. Since then, the offending organ has been yanked, and Lagutenko is reported to be resting comfortably.
The shows in question are March 3 and 4 at San Francisco’s The Independent, and March 5 and 6 at The Roxy in L.A. Those shows will be rescheduled.
