For months now, people have been speculating about a series of performances by Jackson at London’s O2 Arena. It appears they were right, according to the BBC, which reports the singer will announce a summer run of shows at the venue.

Celena Aponte, a spokeswoman for the O2’s operator AEG Live, wouldn’t confirm the residency but told the Associated Press a special announcement would be made at the venue on March 5. Talk about a non-confirmation confirmation.

The last time Jackson sang publicly in the U.K. was at the 2006 World Music Awards, where he warbled a few lines from “We Are the World” and then hightailed it off the stage. His last full-scale tour was in 1996-97.

Let’s hope Thursday’s announcement is really about Michael Jackson shows and not about that Jackson Family museum.
