Neil Young To Rock Glastonbury
And then there were three. Neil Young has been confirmed as the final headliner for this year’s Glastonbury Festival, sharing the top spot with Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band and Blur.

“Every year the people that come to the Festival ask the same question: when is Neil Young playing? So this is big news for us. I’ve seen him play many times over the years but I think he’s better than ever at the moment, it’s one hell of a show,” Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis said on the fest’s Web site.
“And the wonderful thing about Neil Young is that every generation loves his music, you can hear him in some of the younger bands like Fleet Foxes, who will also be playing at the Festival this year, so it’s a big one for all of us. With Neil on the bill we are close to completing our best ever line-up.”

Tickets to Glastonbury 2009 are sold out as of Feb. 3 after going on sale in early October.
For fans still hoping to see Young “Rocking’ in the Free World,” a limited number of canceled tickets are being sold April 5 at 9 a.m. at www.seetickets.com/g2009.
The fest’s Web site warns fans that Seetickets.com is the only official Glastonbury ticket agency and the only way into the fest is with a ticket featuring your photograph. This is accomplished by registering at the festival’s Web site and then uploading your photo.
Glastonbury 2008 headliners included Jay-Z, Leonard Cohen and Brian Jonestown Massacre.
In late January, Glastonbury walked away with the prize for International Music Festival of the Year at Pollstar’s Concert Industry Awards in Los Angeles. It was the fourth consecutive win for the fest.
Last month Glastonbury was crowned the Best Live Event at the NME Awards in London.
