“Every year the people that come to the Festival ask the same question: when is Neil Young playing? So this is big news for us. I’ve seen him play many times over the years but I think he’s better than ever at the moment, it’s one hell of a show,” Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis said on the fest’s Web site.

“And the wonderful thing about Neil Young is that every generation loves his music, you can hear him in some of the younger bands like Fleet Foxes, who will also be playing at the Festival this year, so it’s a big one for all of us. With Neil on the bill we are close to completing our best ever line-up.”

Emily Eavis recently confirmed the fest will also feature Doves, Emiliana Torrini, Lily Allen and . Franz Ferdinand is also set to join in on the fun on stage.
