Jack’s Mannequin Joins The Fray On Tour
After Jack’s Mannequin received an invite to join The Fray on its summer tour, the band opted to reschedule part of its U.S. headlining “The Farther From Earth” tour.
Jack’s Mannequin frontman Andrew McMahon wrote about the rescheduled tour on the band’s Web site:
“Postponing shows is something I hate to do, but when Jack’s received a last minute offer for a summer tour it was agreed that the opportunity justified the rearranging. The new plan will have us playing one month of the already scheduled Farther From Earth dates in April and May, followed by a two-month summer run with The Fray. We will then close out the fall with the rescheduled headlining shows we couldn’t play on the 1st leg.”
Fans that purchased tickets during the presale for postponed shows will be refunded. Mahon wrote that the band is “working out a couple of fan appreciation ideas, to try and make up for the confusion and any frustration it has caused.”
After wrapping up a tour of Australia and Europe, the alternative band heads back to its homeland turf, headlining shows throughout the U.S., from The Warfield in San Francisco, April 7 through a gig at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, Okla., May 13.
Additional dates include Sokol Auditorium in Omaha, Neb. (April 11), Center Stage in Atlanta (May 2) and Houes of Blues in New Orleans (May 9).
Matt Nathanson, Low vs Diamond and Erin McCarley will be along for the fun on the headlining dates.
Jack’s Mannequin joins The Fray on tour beginning with a gig at Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta, June 12 with dates through a show at Spokane Arena in Spokane, Wash., August 7.
A fan presale for the Fray/Mannequin shows began March 6. If fans sign up for The Fray’s email list by March 10 (that’s today!), they will be emailed a presale code within 24 hours once they sign up. Fans can sign up at www.thefray.net/signup.
