Beale St. Music Festival Lineup Announced

This year’s edition of the Beale Street Music Festival will feature a diverse lineup of 60 artists including the All-American Rejects, Al Green, Snoop Dog, Bonnie Raitt, Katy Perry and Los Lobos.

The fun takes place May 1-3 in Tom Lee Park in Memphis, Tenn., as part of the month-long Memphis in May International Festival.

Additional artists include Steve Miller Band, 311, James Taylor, Korn, Fall Out Boy, Ben Harper & , John Lee Hooker Jr., George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Elvis Costello, Jack’s Mannequin, Rise Against, Amos Lee, Susan Tedeschi and Matt Nathanson.

The Blues Tent will feature Ronnie Baker Brooks, Lurrie Bell, Bonnie Bramlett, Shane Dwight, Hubert Sumlin, Cedric Burnside & Lightin’ Malcolm, Michael Burks, Curtis Salgado, Sherman Robertson, Damon Fowler and Guitar Shorty.

If those artists don’t fulfill your need for the blues, there’s even more where that came from at the SoCo Blues Shack, which includes Richard Johnston, Blind Mississippi Morris and Robert “Wolfman” Belfour.

Tickets for the fest are on sale now. You can purchase three-day passes for the special price of $63.50 through April 30. A limited number of single-day tickets are available for $28.50 in advance. Purchased at the gate, the single-day tickets go for $33.50.

Memphis in May also features The World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest May 14-16, Celebrate Chile! May 8, and the Sunset Symphony May 23.
