Bad Company Reunite For Summer Tour
The 2008 show at the Seminole was the first time in nearly a decade that the remaining members of the ‘70s English hard rock band – singer Paul Rodgers, guitarist Mick Ralphs and drummer Simon Kirke – had gotten together to jam on stage. Bassist Boz Burrell passed away in 2006.
The summer tour sticks to the East Coast, beginning June 17 at the Seminole Hard Rock Live and winding down with a show at the Resorts International in Atlantic City, N.J., July 4.
Additional dates include shows at Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta (June 19), Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion in Raleigh, N.C. (June 23), Bethel Woods Center For The Arts in Bethel, N.Y. (June 27) and DTE Energy Music Theatre (July 1).
“It’s great to be back with Paul and Simon,“ Ralphs said in a statement. “We made great music together and had the time of our lives doing it. I’m really looking forward to getting back out there this summer.“
Bad Company is bringing along the Doobie Brothers as an opening act on all dates except for the first and last shows of the tour.
The August 8, 2008 show was recorded and will be released as a live concert DVD. “Bad Company – Hard Rock Live” will be available exclusively at shows during the tour and is then tentatively set for official release August 8, according to a press release for the band.
