Echo Shuts Down

As goes the exit of Sean Moriarty from Ticketmaster, so goes online music marketing company Echo, which Ticketmaster bought in 2007 for a reported $25 million.

The company built Web sites for several major artists, including Kanye West, Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts, and managed their online communities.

Staffers were recently told they would lose their jobs in 60 days, according to the Los Angeles Business Journal.

“The decision is not really a big surprise to most of us considering the economy,” a staffer told the paper.
