Cuban singer Silvio Rodriguez couldn’t join in on the all-star 90th birthday party for Pete Seeger at Madison Square Garden May 3.

Rodriguez said U.S. authorities failed to approve his visa in time and he feels “blockaded and discriminated against,” according to a letter Rodriguez posted on a Cuban government-controlled Web site.
