Stiffed Miller Band
Police in Casper, Wyo., are investigating a claim by Steve Miller Band that a check for $90,000, written by a concert promotion company called Elli Live, bounced shortly after the band played a November concert.
A band representative called police May 8, reporting the rubber check for the show at the Casper Events Center. The Casper Star-Tribune tried to reach a promoter for the Arizona-based Elli Live, Rob Green, but the number the paper had on file is now being used by a title company, the paper reported.
The venue was reportedly paid for its portion of the event.
Manager for Steve Miller Band would not comment on the legal process related to the matter, and SMB’s agent told Pollstar that he did not know more about the situation than what has been reported.
