Macca In The Citi
In 1965, the first concert at Shea Stadium featured four lads from Liverpool who were opening the door for stadium rock. So what better way to break in the Mets’ new home, Citi Field, than with a pair of shows by Paul McCartney?

McCartney – who also joined Billy Joel in closing down the Flushing, N.Y., venue last year – will christen the new venue July 17-18.
Fans can expect to hear selections from all stages of McCartney’s career, including songs by The Beatles and Wings, as well as material from his latest release as The Fireman, Electric Arguments.
Tickets for both shows go on sale June 15 at 10 a.m. ET.
