Radio Fest Gets Jammed

A Rochester, N.Y. radio station that hosted an outdoor concert June 6 got itself into a bit of a summer jam when more than 1,000 ticketholders to the free event were turned away at the gates.

WPXY printed roughly 9,000 tickets for the show, which was held in an outdoor parking lot adjacent to the city’s ferry terminal, police told the Democrat and Chronicle.

Police said they capped the event at 7,500 with concerns the area couldn’t safely hold any more concertgoers.

Authorities told the paper reports of fake tickets are currently under investigation.
