Stick-Up At Wells Fargo

Employees at a concession stand at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, were robbed at gunpoint during a Coldplay show June 12 by two men wearing Ovations Food Service work clothing.

Witnesses told police one of the men had worked at a concession stand that evening, according to the Des Moines Register. The men approached the concession stand at about 9:30 p.m. and, at gunpoint, employees gave the robbers an undisclosed amount of cash, which was stuffed into a backpack, according to the paper.

The robbers also took a cell phone, then left through a side exit not generally used for the public.

Darnell Ramey, 24, was arrested June 17 and charged with three counts of first-degree robbery and one parole violation, according to the Register. Ramey, who is also charged with a pair of convenience store holdups, was held in Polk County Jail on $125,000 bail at press time.
