Black Eyed Peas Tour Manager Charged For Assaulting Gossip Blogger

The epic tale of Perez Hilton tweeting details of allegedly being assaulted by Black Eyed Peas frontman continues with news that the group’s tour manager has been charged with assault.

As the dawn of a new Monday swept over North America, music fans awoke to news that Perez Hilton sent out a series of tweets during the early morning hours claiming he had been assaulted by and the performer’s bodyguards.

At 4 a.m. (Toronto time), Hilton tweeted, “I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke.”

Yeah, we know. Evidently Hilton could take the time to create the above sentence on his Sidekick, but couldn’t use the phone to punch out three digits, namely 9-1-1.

But life is different in the world of high-stakes gossip, and Hilton knows how to turn even a personal tragedy into headlines.

Now it looks as if the initial reports of the band’s bodyguards striking Perez may have been erroneous. Police have arrested Polo Molina – tour manager for the Black Eyed Peas. Molina turned himself in this morning and is due in court August 5.

The dustup happened at Toronto’s Cobra nightclub. Perez told the Associated Press that he called a “faggot” after the Black Eyed Peas frontman told the gossip king not to write about the band on his blog.

“He was like ‘You need to respect me.’ He was in my face. He was obviously trying to intimidate me and scare me,” Hilton said. “I was like ‘I don’t need to respect you. I don’t respect you’ and I did say this, and I knew that it would be the worst thing I could possibly say to him because he was acting the way he was. I said, ‘You know what, I don’t respect you and you’re gay and stop being such a faggot.’”

Hilton, who was nightclubbing with Lady GaGa, said he was punched from behind while leaving the club. Hilton, Lady GaGa and the Black Eyed Peas were in town for the MuchMusic Video Awards.
