Costner To The Rescue

Billy Currington wasn’t so lucky. The country performer was just wrapping up his set when the stage collapsed on top of him, causing a minor concussion. His bass player, Alex Stevens, was trapped under the debris for 30 minutes.
According to reports the sudden windstorm happened so fast there wasn’t enough time to warn the audience. Concertgoer Donna Moore, 35, was killed when a speaker fell on her. Two others suffered critical injuries while dozens were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Now Costner is pledging a return to Camrose to help those injured by the stage collapse.
“We are so sad about the loss of life and injury that occurred on a day that carried so much promise, but turned so wicked so quickly,” Costner said Monday. “We hope to return to Alberta in the future to help with the healing.”
