Babs will hit the New York City venue, where she last performed as the opener for Miles Davis in 1961, on Saturday, September 26.

Tickets for the show are free but require either pre-ordering the CD at Barbra.Skyroo.com or registering at BarbraStreisand.com to enter the contest in which they’ll be given away. Twenty lucky fans chosen by a random drawing will each win a pair of tickets for the show.

The contest runs from today until September 8 at 5 p.m. ET and is open to fans 21 and over who reside in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (excluding its territories, possessions and the State of Rhode Island and Maryland) and Canada (excluding the province of Quebec).

The official rules for the “Barbra Streisand Love is the Answer Preorder” sweepstakes (which, by the way, are five pages long and include things like “The winner will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/ Publicity Release” and “No audio, visual, or audiovisual recording devices, including cell phones with such devices, will be allowed during the concert or in the concert venue and will be confiscated if used”) say “Prizes are non-transferrable” and “Prizes may not be sold, bartered or transferred.”

Uh-huh.

Since Pollstar’s database lists the capacity of the Village Vanguard at 123, it’s probably safe to say seats at this show are going to be worth about 1,000 times their weight in platinum and diamonds.

The rules on Streisand’s Web site list the face value of the 40 tickets at $4,800, which breaks down to $120 each. Any bets on how soon these things will show up on eBay, Craig’s List or StubHub and how much they’ll be selling for?

Visit BarbraStreisand.com for complete details on the show and to check out all five pages of rules.
