Utsick Appeals

Jack Utsick has filed an appeal of a U.S. District Court judgment setting disgorgement, interest and civil penalties against him in his ongoing battle with the SEC.

In a July 29 filing, Utsick’s attorneys filed a notice of appeal with the Southern District of Florida’s Miami division that also appeal several denials of previous motions in the case.

In addition to the appeal of financial penalties, the motion seeks to reverse decisions including to deny Utsick’s June 30 motion for reconsideration, including Huck’s order denying Utsick’s motion to correct, request for relief from stay, “advances of legal fees and costs and reasonable living expenses” and a protective order.

Utsick continues living in Brazil, where he reportedly intends to resurrect his concert promotion business.
