The Los Angeles Times reports the show, which began as a documentary about Jermaine, Tito, Marlon and Jackie Jackson preparing a new album and tour, will now be expanded to include other members of the family as they deal with the death of Michael.

“This is a very intimate look at this family in a way like you’ve never seen them,” the show’s executive producer Jodi Gomes told the Times. “The Jackson family has been approached many times about doing a reality series, but they weren’t interested in going the way of ‘The Osbournes’ and other shows in that vein.

“This is more of a documentary-style series that follows them very closely as they rehearse and get ready for a tour but also shows how they relate to each other.”

According to the Times, the production company lensing the show finished its initial filming in June, but headed back to the Jacksons’, cameras in tow, after Michael’s death.
