10,000 Influenced By Popaganda

Live Nation Sweden’s summer festival season drew to a successful close in Stockholm Aug. 28-29, when Popaganda came close to selling out its 10,000 capacity on both days.

The indie event, which was moved from the university campus to Eriksbadet two years ago, does book international acts but mainly focuses on upcoming Swedish talent.

It’s run by Niklas Jonsson of Luger, a wholly owned LN subsidiary, who was happy to report two days of warm weather and some standout performances.

The acts helping him to be happy with his work in the Swedish capital included MGMT, Lykke Li, Camera Obscura, Jenny Wilson, Steve Aoki, Deportees, El Perro del Mar, and Johnossi.
