Think about that for a minute. That means some of the show’s current crop of cast members weren’t even born when it first aired.

And when it comes to SNL’s upcoming hosts, Megan Fox (Sept. 26) and Ryan Reynolds (Oct. 3) weren’t even a glimmer in someone’s eye yet. Gerard Butler (Oct. 10) might have watched since he was four. And even though Drew Barrymore (Oct. 17) is well known for her precocious maturity at a young age, it’s unlikely an infant of less than a year old was tuned in on Oct. 11, 1975.

Musical guests signed on for the four new SNL’s in a row include U2 (Sept. 26), Lady Gaga (Oct. 3), Regina Spektor (Oct. 10) and Shakira (Oct. 17).
