It’s as if Leno took a good look at the “Tonight Show’s” structure, eliminated non-humorous elements like small talk and celebs hawking their newest movies, TV shows, books and such, and then filled those gaps with as much comedy as he can jam into an hour.

While not necessarily calling folks like Jay-Z or Miley Cyrus his “musical guests,” during the first week Leno is promoting music artists as appearing in “featured segments.” We’re not too sure what these segments involve, but with the first week’s worth of shows featuring Jay-Z, Rihanna, Bruce Hornsby and Eric Clapton, we’re definitely going to have to check it out.
