A Whale Of A Crime
You gotta admire the band’s determination. Despite losing all their equipment when someone broke into their trailer last night in Manchester, England, the plan is to replace the stolen goods with borrowed ones and keep on truckin’, according to the BBC.
Frontman Charlie Fink said he was “unbelievably devastated” by the theft. Meanwhile, bandmembers are trying to estimate the value of the stolen equipment.
“We’re not going to cancel any shows,” Fink said. “We’ll get another way to do it.”
Much of the stolen equipment, which includes a Roland 88 note stage piano, a Fender 1965 Deluxe reverb and a Fender 66 P-bass, were packed in flight cases marked “NOAH” in high stencil lettering or “NOAH AND THE WHALE” or “NATW” in gold marker lettering.
The band is asking anyone having information about the stolen gear to get in touch with the group through its MySpace page. Just click here to finger the usual suspects.
