All-American Rejects Sidelined

An injury has disrupted the current All-American Rejects tour, causing the band to miss one headlining date as well as a couple of shows with blink-182.

Details are sketchy, but the band’s publicist issued a short e-mail today saying lead singer Tyson Ritter “sustained an injury while on tour and is taking necessary precautions for a speedy recovery.”

The sudden change in plans means the band will miss appearing with blink-182 Oct. 2 in Virginia Beach at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre and Oct. 4 in New York City at Madison Square Garden.

The band was also forced to cancel its Oct. 3 headlining date at Caesars Palace in Atlantic City.

All-American Rejects is scheduled to begin a U.K. tour Oct. 14 in London and returns to the States when the band hooks up with Taking Back Sunday for a co-headline tour beginning Nov. 3 in East Lansing, Mich., at Michigan State University.
