Far Out!
Spektor will warm up for the trek with an appearance at the Mountain Stage Radio Show at the Creative Arts Theatre in Morgantown, W. Va., before officially launching the run with a pair of shows Oct. 4-5 at The Tabernacle in Atlanta.
After a quick stop in New York City Oct. 10 to make an appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” the singer will wind her way across the country, wrapping things up Nov. 12 at Nokia Theatre at Grand Prairie in Texas and then heading to the U.K. and Europe for a handful of shows.
Now, about that chance to win the album. Did I mention we’re giving it away on vinyl? And the best part is you have five shots at winning.
Here’s the scoop: Spektor has just released the track “Eet” as the second single from her new album and she’d like fans to show her what the song represents to them.
So get out your crayons, pastels, watercolors, fingerpaints, construction paper, macaroni, knitting needles or anything else you feel like getting creative with. Or if you prefer to be 21st century about it, fire up Photoshop or Illustrator and go to town. (Heck, you could even use the Windows Paint feature).
Then take a picture of your finished masterpiece and send it to [email protected]. You have from now until Oct. 13 at 11:59 p.m. PST to get your entries in. Enter as often as you like. (And here’s a little extra incentive: Your work might just end up on Regina’s Web site.)
Five winners will be chosen by our crack team of art experts (doormen, bouncers, bartenders, ticket takers and janitors count, right?).
As always, employees of Pollstar and Warner Brothers Records, as well as anyone who works with Regina Spektor are not eligible to win. Winners must respond within 48 hours of being contacted or another entry will be chosen.
And because we appreciate you being a loyal Pollstar reader, we’ve got a little bonus for you: Use the special code POLLSTAR15 to receive 15 percent off all merchandise in Regina’s online store. How’s that for a sweet deal?
In case you need a little inspiration to get you started, here’s the clip for “Eet.” You can also click here to explore more of Spektor’s songs and videos.
