McBride, Adkins To ‘Shine All Night’

Martina McBride and Trace Adkins are joining forces to bring you the “Shine All Night” tour featuring complete sets by both artists beginning in November and running through April 2010.

The tour will also feature appearances by Blake Shelton and The Lost Trailers on select dates.

Not only is this a big tour, but it has plenty of corporate sponsorship behind it. For starters, it’s Orange-flavored drink manufacturer SunnyD’s first foray into tour sponsorship. The company will station sampling vans at each venue and will sponsor contests in which winners get to sing with McBride onstage. The country songstress also appears in a series of SunnyD commercials.

But SunnyD isn’t the only tour backer. Country music channel Great American Country is getting behind this tour, and Adkins sponsor BC Powder is also in the mix.

The tour launches in Moline, Ill., at the I Wireless Center Nov. 20. St. Paul, Minn., is next with a show at the Xcel Energy Center Nov. 21. Then it’s on to Milwaukee and the Bradley Center Nov. 22.

Other stops include Colorado Springs Dec. 3; Oklahoma City Dec. 5; Birmingham, Ala., Dec. 13; Little Rock Jan. 22; Council Bluffs, Iowa, Jan. 24; Dallas Feb. 11; Pensacola Feb. 14; Fort Wayne Feb. 25; Cleveland Feb. 26; Pittsburgh Feb. 27; St. Louis March 26 and Rapid City, S.D., April 9. Last date on the schedule is Bismarck, North Dakota, at the Bismarck Civic Center April 10.

The tour is also doing it up big online with ShineAllNight.com providing ticket info, exclusive content, contests and updates. The tour will also send updates via Twitter.

Along with the official tour Web site, McBride’s newly redesigned home on the ‘Net will feature fan club presales.

Of course, a tour announcement about two big stars hitting the road for a 40-night run comes with quotes from each performer.

“I want fans to leave here knowing they got more than their money’s worth,” McBride said. “My goal is to have this on their list of memorable nights for years to come.”

“I think this tour is going to give people a lot more bang for their buck,” Adkins said. “And that’s important – especially in today’s economy.”
