A Bigger House For Pee-Wee
The new version of Reuben’s 1981 sell out stage show, which is an adult production not really appropriate for those under 16, will now begin its four-week run Jan. 12 at Club Nokia at L.A. Live, instead of the original kick off date of Nov. 8.
Ticketholders for shows at The Music Box Theatre may exchange them for comparable seats through Oct. 13 at 10 p.m PST by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-653-8000.
Additional tickets for Club Nokia, including general admission and VIP tickets, go on sale Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. PST.
Reubens said he couldn’t be happier about demand for the show and glad to be able to offer fans additional tickets and options.
“I’m really excited that fans are responding so incredibly to Pee-wee’s return,” the comedian explained. “To the fans who already bought tickets, I apologize for the inconvenience of the venue and date changes and am arranging for you to come backstage and say hello!
“Thanks to our friends at Goldenvoice, we are able to bring a bigger show to a larger audience at various ticket prices.”
In addition to beloved characters like Miss Yvonne, Mailman Mike, Cowboy Curtis, Jambi the Genie, Charry, Pterri the pterodactyl, Conky the robot, Magic Screen and Randy, many of the 1981 show’s original artists, including scenic designer Gary Panter and composer Jay Cotton, are back for the new production.
