Garth Watch: One Press Conference Down, One To Go
Garth Brooks completed the first of two scheduled press conferences today, saying he’s coming out of retirement, but offering no further details.
“We’re going to take the retirement roof off over our head, and I already feel taller,” Brooks told reporters in Nashville.

However, the country star said he didn’t have any immediate plans, and that he wanted to see how things go in the coming years.
“As for touring, if I can’t eat it, sleep it, breathe it, then it ain’t me,” Brooks said.
Then it was off to Las Vegas for press conference No. 2, scheduled for 4 p.m. Eastern, 1 p.m. Pacific time. There has been much speculation in recent weeks that Brooks will announce a residency at a major casino. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see what develops this afternoon.
Stay tuned.
