Cinema Creed

After a 10 year break from performing together, Scott Stapp and the rest of Creed’s original lineup appear to be enjoying their reunion. Fans anxious for the band to kick off its 2010 dates can get a taste of what’s to come next week when the group’s first ever recorded full-length performance hits theatres across the country for one night.

“Creed Live” is the third in a series of digital cinema music concerts presented by Sony Electronics’ Digital Cinema Solutions and Services Group.

The exclusive theatrical event will premiere in select U.S. theatres Dec. 7, the day before the DVD version of the concert hits stores.

The show was recorded live in Houston before an audience of 17,000 fans in high-definition with 5.1 Dolby Digital sound.

“Making this DVD was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us,” Stapp said. I am so excited to finally give Creed fans something they will never forget. I know this is something that will keep us connected at all times through the live experience. Honestly, I am blown away!”

Lucky fans in West Palm Beach, Fla., will be able to meet the band the night of the premier at the city’s Muvico Theatre and sign up for a chance to win an autographed Mark Tremonti PRS SE Tremonti guitar.

“Creed Live” will also be available for 30 days on Sony’s BRAVIA Internet Video platform as video-on-demand and IP content.
