Hanson MMMBoping Its Way Through A Five-Night Residency

Hanson is celebrating its past achievements while also looking towards the future with a five night residency at New York’s Blender Theatre At Gramercy. The trio of brothers will show off four previous albums in their entirety as well as the premier of the band’s new full-length album.

The residency shows take place April 26-30, leading up to the pop rock band’s appearance at The Bamboozle New Jersey festival May 1.

On April 26, Isaac, Taylor and Zac will perform Hanson’s third studio album, 1997’s Middle of Nowhere, start to finish followed by an April 27 performance of the band’s fifth studio album, 2000’s This Time Around. April 28 will feature the band’s sixth studio album, 2004’s Underneath and April 29 will be the seventh studio album, 2007’s The Walk. The next day the Hanson brothers will then treat fans to the premier of the yet untitled new album, which is set for release in spring 2010.

Taylor Hanson said the guys are looking forward to the Blender Theatre At Gramercy residency as well as the band’s slot at Bamboozle.

“It’s great to be a part of this year’s Bamboozle festival, and especially on the heels of a new record we wanted to bring together a live music event that was really unique, something that allows us and our fans to share the music we’ve created over more than a decade like never before.”

Isaac added, “We could not think of a better way to span the old and the new music than in this live setting.”

Fans itching to check out the new album can check out one of the new songs on Hanson’s latest EP, Stand Up, Stand Up.  The EP, which features the tune “Worlds On Fire,” from the upcoming album, as well as four new acoustic tracks, was released physically on the band’s recent tour and digitally Dec. 8.

“The EP is about engaging fans of the band early, with a first look at some of the new songs, as well as bridging the gap between the last album, The Walk and the coming record,” Zac Hanson said.

Tickets to the residency go on sale today, Dec. 15 with limited ticket packages available exclusively through the band’s Web site, Hanson.net.

Tickets to The Bamboozle New Jersey festival, which is being held May 1-2 at Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, N.J., are on sale now.

The 2010 version of the Bamboozle New Jersey fest is headlined by Paramore and Weezer and also features Angels And Airwaves, Girl Talk, The Aquabats, Mute Math, Architects and Hey Monday.
