GM Bowen Leaving Sears Centre

Jeffrey Bowen, the GM of Sears Centre in the Chicago suburb of Hoffman Estates, is leaving that post at year-end, thanks to an ownership change.

Ryan Cos., the Minnesota developer that has operated the Sears Centre since 2006, incurred financial difficulties and threatened to close down the building in October unless the Village of Hoffman Estates could find another facility manager to take over.

Global Spectrum is expected to take over the reins Jan. 1. Bowen wasn’t asked to stay, and told Pollstar via e-mail he expects to have his hands full doing consulting and project work from home.
