Uh? Hole Dates?
Love co-founded Hole with songwriter / guitarist Eric Erlandson in 1989 and the band initially called it quits in 2002.
Then last year Love announced she was reforming Hole with Larrikin Love guitarist Micko Larkin.
According to London’s Daily Mirror, other members of Hole’s rebirth are Shawn Dailey on bass and Stuart Fisher on drums.
There’s also a new album. Nobody’s Daughter was thought to be Love’s next solo effort, but it’s now being touted as a Hole album.
At this time Hole is booked for three dates – Feb. 17 in London at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire; Feb. 19 in Milan at Magazzini Generali and Feb. 21 in Amsterdam at Paradiso.
But will the band hang on to the Hole name? Erlandson has said the name can’t be used unless he agrees, and so far it appears he hasn’t signed off on anything Hole-related.
However, the dates are listed on a new Web site named after the Nobody’s Daughter album and launched only days ago. Although there are links to Love’s Twitter page and a Facebook page simply entitled “Hole,” the Nobody’s Daughter Web site doesn’t mention Love or Hole, and lists only the three dates mentioned above.
But the venues for the shows aren’t holding back and each one clearly lists Hole as appearing. Of course, that could change between now and Feb. 17.
