ADE Sets Dates

Arguably the world’s leading electronic music conference and showcase festival will celebrate its 15th anniversary in Amsterdam Oct. 20-23.

Amsterdam Dance Event, organised by the Buma Cultuur team behind Groningen’s Eurosonic-Noorderslag weekend, regularly attracts 2,000-plus delegates and the evening shows spread across 40 of the city’s venues pulled more than 100,000 visitors in 2009.

The lineup of panelists and artists will be announced in the coming months. In 2009 the speakers included Armin van Buuren, Carl Craig, Junkie XL, Peter Hook and Richie Hawtin.

Buma Cultuur’s Eurosonic-Noorderslag weekend Jan. 14-16, further enhanced by the first staging of Virtual Festivals’ European Awards on the eve of the conference, sold its out its 2,800 capacity a week before it opened.
