UK live concerts by French acts went up by 18 percent in 2009, according to the country’s music export office.
The total of 891 gigs, 441 of them in London, averages out at more than two per day. There’s an average of more than one per day in London.
The export office figures also show rock and pop are the most popular genres, with 58.06 percent of the shows, followed at some distance by jazz (16.13 percent), electronic music (15.05) and world music (12.9).
